Our Good Beer Week oak-stravaganza turns five this year and to celebrate we’ve loaded the furnace to melting point!

It’s no secret that we love wood here at 3 Ravens. Wood plays a huge role in a lot of our favourite things - wild brews, barrel-aged strong ales, spirits, barbecue and live music (to name just a few). When you combine all of these you end up with our favourite party of the year - Woods Of The North.

Off the back of last years roaring success, we’ve brought on board three of Melbourne’s hospitality heavy weights - Boilermaker House, Mjølner and Mesa Verde - and two of Melbourne’s most creative brewers - Dollar Bill and Future Mountain - to showcase and celebrate their treasured barrel-aged brews.

Each brewer has been partnered with a cocktail bar to create a beer inspired by one of the bars signature cocktails. On the flipside, the bartenders have created a unique cocktail inspired by one of the brewers flagship beers.

The bars have also lined up three of their favourite oak-aged spirits (you’ve seen these venues back bars right?) to pair with treasured barrel-aged beers from each brewer’s cellar to create a boilermaker menu for the ages. Or if you prefer your spirits paired with barrel-aged pickle juice we’ve got you covered.

There will be wood-smoked and coal-fired meat and veg on the menu, alongside deep fried barrel-aged feta balls, barrel-aged pickles, some very special barrel aged sauces, and barrel aged water to keep you hydrated of course.

Ticket price includes a serve of all six beers, lunch, three cocktails, spirit samples and boilermaker pairings, plus some raucous live music to keep the good times (and barrels) rolling.
